Account & data deletion

This page explains how to delete your data from Mailwren and how to request deletion of any information associated with your use of the App. Mailwren does not create a separate user account for you — instead, you connect your existing email accounts (such as Gmail). You stay in control and can remove your data at any time.

1. Delete your data inside the app

You can remove your data directly from Mailwren at any time:

Open Mailwren and go to Settings.
Select the connected account you want to remove.
Tap Remove account (or Disconnect). This revokes Mailwren's access and deletes the messages and tokens cached for that account on your device.
To remove everything, disconnect all accounts and then uninstall the App, which deletes all remaining locally stored data.

For Google accounts, you can also revoke Mailwren's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

2. Request deletion by email

If you would like us to delete any information associated with your use of Mailwren, send a request to our support team. We will verify the request and process it.

Please include the following so we can locate and verify your request:

The email address of the account you connected to Mailwren;
The subject line "Mailwren Account Deletion Request";
Confirmation that you are the owner of that email account.

3. What is deleted

Data	What happens
Connection tokens & access permissions	Revoked and deleted, so Mailwren can no longer access your mailbox.
Locally cached emails & attachments	Deleted from your device when you remove the account or uninstall the App.
App settings & preferences	Deleted when you uninstall the App.
Diagnostic / crash logs (if any)	Anonymous and deleted on request as part of your deletion inquiry.

Important: Deleting your data from Mailwren does not delete the emails stored by your email provider (for example, Gmail). Your messages remain in your provider's account; Mailwren only removes its own access and locally stored copies.

4. Processing time & retention

Email-based deletion requests are processed within 30 days of verification. We may retain limited information only where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse; such information is deleted once it is no longer needed.
